House Approves 2025-2029 Renstra, Factions Highlight Parliamentary Function Strengthening

PARLEMENTARIA, Jakarta – The Indonesian House of Representatives officially approved the ‘Draft Regulation of the Indonesian House of Representatives concerning the Strategic Plan (Renstra) for 2025–2029’ during the Plenary Session that was held on Tuesday (1/7/2025). The session was led by the Deputy Speaker of The House Adies Kadir and became an important momentum for the Parliament’s strategical direction in the next five years towards the grand vision of “Golden Indonesia 2045”.

 

The approval of Renstra document was given after all factions delivered their final opinions. The factions generally welcomed the Renstra which contains the vision of “The realization of the House of Representatives as the Pillar of Substantial Democracy that is Modern, Aspirational, Responsive, and Accountable”. This document became the main guide in carrying out the legislative, budgetary and supervisory functions in a measurable and accountable manner.

 

In the official document received by Parlementaria, the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle Faction through Member of the House Ahmad Safei emphasized that the Renstra of the Indonesian House of Representatives is a “Five-year work plan document” that explains the implementation of constitutional duty of legislative institution. The Faction considered Renstra as an important instrument so that the public is aware of the strategic goals and program of the House in general. The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle Faction stated their approval for the 2025-2029 Renstra of the House to be determined and followed up according to the applicable mechanisms.

 

The Party of Functional Groups Faction through Member of The House Eko Wahyudi welcomed the 2025-2029 Renstra of the House as the strategic work guideline in the parliament. The Party of Functional Groups Faction emphasized the importance of the strengthening of legislative role in supporting a fair establishment using the principal of 'pro-growth, pro-job, pro-poor, dan pro-environment'. The Party of Functional Groups Faction fully supports 2025-2029 Renstra of the House and will continue to monitor its’ implementation so that it will be beneficial for the people’s welfare.

 

The Great Indonesia Movement Party Faction delivered directly by Member of the House Kawendra Lukistian stated that the Renstra is not just an administrative document, but also but also strategic and ideological. The Faction considered the integrative approach between legislative and administrative function in Renstra became an institutional strengthening symbol of the House.

 

The Democratic Party Faction, read by the Member of the House Dina Lorenza Audria evaluated that Renstra is an instrument to encourage the House to become a modern, adaptive, and result-based institution. The Democratic Party Faction also encouraged the digitalization of parliament as well as strategical role in global diplomacy. The Democratic Party Faction approved the 2025-2029 Renstra of the House to support the national development agenda and people’s welfare.

 

The National Mandate Party Faction through the Member of The House Abdul Hakim Bafagih emphasized the importance of a strong legal protection in the establishment of Renstra. The National Mandate Party encouraged for Renstra to become an implementable framework, especially in the actualization of political, legal and bureaucratic reforms.

 

The National Mandate Party Faction expressed support for food and energy sovereignty, the strengthening of MSMEs, and an inclusive education. The National Mandate Party Faction approved the 2025-2029 Renstra of the House.

 

The National Awakening Party Faction through Member of The House HM Nashim Khan stated that Renstra of the House must truly integrate the vision of national long-term development. The Faction reminded the House of the importance of its function in creating a fair regulation, supervising the government, and actualizing the people’s aspirations. “The National Awakening Party Faction approves the 2025-2029 Renstra of the House,” Nashim Khan stated.

 

The Prosperous Justice Party Faction through Member of The House Habib Idrus Salim Aljufri highlighted the need to strengthen substantive democracy and digital transformation. The faction also encouraged for the supervision of the House to be preventive, participatory, and based on public involvement through open digital platforms.

 

The Prosperous Justice Party Faction supported fair budget reforms and parliamentary diplomacy that produces real output. We support Renstra of the House as a roadmap towards a modern parliament that sides with the people.

 

The NasDem Party Faction through Member of The House Syarif Fasha evaluated Renstra as an importance instrument to ensure the House carries out their duties as people’s representatives optimally. The NasDem Party highlighted the importance of strengthening legislation, data-based supervision, and institutional digital transformation. “The NasDem Party Faction accepts and approves the 2025-2029 Renstra of the House to be discussed according to the mechanism,” Fasha emphasized.

 

After listening the opinions from all factions, the Plenary Session of Indonesian House of Representative officially approved and stipulated the Indonesian House of Representative Draft Regulations concerning the 2025-2029 Strategic Plan of the Indonesian House of Representatives. With this ratification, the House reinforced strategic institutional steps in supporting sustainable national development and substantial democracy in order to achieve “Golden Indonesia 2045”.
